Faith Formation Classes

The First Communion pictures have been developed and are in the Religious Education office. Please stop by the office and pick up your child's pictures.

If you would like to be a catechist or catechist aide and be a part of the "faith formation" team next school year, please give me a call.

Church History Classes

Father O'Toole teaches a church history class on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. until noon, and on Sunday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Classes meet in the Catholic Center.   The class is the same on both days.  Father will begin with a review of the prior classes then move on to new material.  All are welcome to attend.

Confirmation

  • Classes for the Sacrament of Confirmation to be conferred in May/June 2009 begin Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.
  • Those who wish to be confirmed (hereafter referred to as Confirmandi) are to be on time with at least one parent/guardian joining them.
  • Enrollment for the Spring 2009 Confirmation class closes November 7, 2007 (the only exception being someone moving here from elsewhere who is in confirmation classes there).
  • In this archdiocese, the rule is that those to receive Confirmation should be at or near the age of 16 or older.  Consequently, those to be admitted to classes must be at or near the age of 14 or older.  Some age latitude is given to parents in this regard in that they best know the level of maturity of their children.  Parents being the first and best teachers of their children in the ways of faith and love are to be models of mature faith for their Confirmandi-children.
  • At the first class a program will be passed out indicating all pertinent requirements and a few dates.  Those to be confirmed are to attend these few functions.
