St. Lawrence Guild
The office is open Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with an answering machine available for leaving messages.  The St. Lawrence Guild provides help with utilities, gasoline and rent, and also maintains an inventory of donated furniture that can be passed on at no charge.  There is also a food pantry for needy families.  Contact Richard Kearney at 223-7544 for more information.  St. Lawrence Guild would appreciate any furniture or food donations.

ST. LAWRENCE GUILD NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Our ministry to the poor has only 3 – 5 people to serve the needy in our area.  Most of the time with travel plans and such, we are down to only 3 people.  Each week we help 20-25 clients that come through the church office.  A  brief meeting discussing the needs of each case followed by a visit with the family’s stretches us beyond our limitations.  We could use you to help fill the gap.  This would not require every week, just start by joining us one Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. to see where you could lend a helping hand.  We would love to hear from you!

Loaves and Fishes

St. Mary Church participates in Ardmore’s Loaves & Fishes efforts to help feed the needy.  Seventeen local churches contribute food and periodically help distribute food to those who request food assistance.

Volunteers can look for notices in the weekly church bulletin for information regarding food donations needed for the week and when church members are needed to assist in distributing food items.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to earn community service hours.  Ken or Carol McCall, 226-1983, can be contacted for more details.

Church Choir
Choir Practices for Holy Week & Easter will be held in the choir loft on 3/14, 3/21, & 3/28 at 9:00 am and on Wednesday, 3/31 at 6:30 pm.  Join us if you love to sing!

St. Mary Thrift Shop
Open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday.  Refer to church bulletin for phone number and shop information, which can be found on the front and back covers of the bulletin.  If you would like to help out by volunteering once a month, stop by and visit with Linda.

St. Mary Thrift Shop can only accept  small household goods, dishes, pots and pans, knickknacks, clothing, and bedding due to a lack of space.  If you have large appliances or furniture you wish to donate you can contact St. Lawrence Guild at 223-7544 and they will use these items for the needy they serve.  Thank you for all your donations!
