Stations of the Cross - Fridays during Lent at 6:00 p.m., except Good Friday.  In Spanish on Thursday evenings of Lent at 6:00 p.m., except Holy Thursday.

March

Communal Celebration of the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation:

St. Mary Church, Ardmore, Wednesday, March 10, 6:00 p.m.
Good Shepherd Church, Marietta, Thursday, March 11, 6:00 p.m.

Passion (Palm) Sunday - March 27th & 28th. Palms will only be distributed at the beginning of the Liturgy, only at the site of distribution. English Masses of Palm Sunday in Ardmore and Tishomingo are all at the regularly scheduled times, Spanish Mass in Madill: Saturday, 6:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:00 a.m. & Marietta: Sunday, 12:30 p.m.  At St. Mary’s in Ardmore both Masses will begin in the parish hall (unless last minute arrangements need to be made because of rain or wind).  In Tishomingo palms will be blessed at a place to be announced. 

April

HOLY THURSDAY Thursday, April 1st at 7:00 p.m., PAROCHIAL RECEPTION OF THE SACRED OILS,  INSTITUTION OF THE PRIESTHOOD AND EUCHARIST, WASHING OF THE FEET; Server practice, 4:00 p.m., supper in parish hall for liturgical ministers to follow immediately. Those bringing up the Oils in procession meet pastor in Church at 6:15 p.m. Those having their feet washed meet pastor in church promptly at 6:30 p.m.;  ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT, 8:30-11:55 p.m., Benediction at 12:00 midnight.

GOOD FRIDAY - Friday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m., COMMEMORATION OF THE LORD’S PASSION, VENERATION OF THE HOLY CROSS, HOLY COMMUNION. Server practice, 4:00 p.m., meatless poverty meal in hall for liturgical ministers to follow immediately.

FULL EASTER LITURGY - Saturday, April 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Lengthy practice for Mass Servers, Readers, Catechumen, & Sponsors at 10:00 a.m. All participants are invited for a substantial luncheon afterwards around 12 noon in the parish hall. BLESSING OF EASTER FIRE AND CANDLE, REFLECTIVE READINGS & RESPONSES FROM SCRIPTURE, BAPTISM, CONFIRMATION, & FIRST HOLY COMMUNION OF CATECHUMEN, BLESSING OF THE EASTER WATER & LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST. The Women of St. Mary invite all those attending the Full Easter Liturgy to a reception in the parish hall immediately afterwards to honor those just received into the  Church.

An Easter event is provided to the children of the parish by the Youth Ministry between the end of the 10:45 Mass in English and the beginning of the Spanish Mass at 12:45 p.m.

SOLEMNITY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OR CHRIST, MINISTERIAL APPRECIATION GATHERING & DINNER - Sunday, June 6, 2010, St. Mary’s Church, Ardmore. Mass & Benediction 10:45 a.m.,  Happy Hour, Supper, and Festivities 6:00 p.m., To honor those involved in parish ministry and their families, Anglo & Hispanic Ardmore communities as well as those in Tishomingo and Healdton. Parish will provide meats, rolls, and participants are asked to bring two dishes (salad, vegetable, or casserole) and a dessert.  The Women of St. Mary will provide a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and the Men of St. Mary will host drinks for those interested and of age.


 

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - Every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Contact Marcia Deyalsingh at 223-5796 for details.
